In 1949, this incessant war has been raging for 35 years and finally a secret archaeological dig has delivered to the Obscura Korps a long sought ancient relic. This artifact is thought to guard an ancient parcel of knowledge. The exact emplacement of one of the four dark cardinal corners of reality is on the verge of being revealed.

A portal leading to hell, this un-sanctified zone is found buried within the secular crypt of a fortress situated in the heart of central Europe. The Reich's 13th Occult Division is there now. They are about to call upon the Cohorts of Chaos to help them force the world into eternal servitude.
Parachuted behind enemy lines, a fistful of men and women are all the Union has left to thwart this peculiar menace. The Unions finest trained commandos armed with technology still in its experimental stages, the glory bound 42nd Alter-Marine Special Forces must now face the most terrible danger to face humanity in recorded history.

Tannhäuser goes beyond the standard package of set of characters, proposing a vast array of customization, allowing players to develop a unique tactic and style of play for their hero. 10 charismatic personalties await them to be groomed for battle, using over 70 magnificently illustrated types of tokens that faithfully depict various weapons, medals, ranks, powers and equipment.

    Game Time: 60 - 90 minutes
    For 2 to 10 players
For ages 11 years or older

probably not for a while.  it usually takes months for NG to bring a game over here for distribution.

i also had my eye on this ever since it was announced.  looks wicked.

other games you might want to watch out for:

starcraft
WoW: the adventure game

Actually I find that getting it directly from the USA is cheaper and faster than getting it from NG.

I've been keeping an eye on this game's production as well Smiley It looks very interesting but two things gave me pause:

first, among the threads on boardgamegeek.com someone mentioned that it's essentially a two-player game with multiple unique figures - you could conceivable break it apart into a 10-player game, with each player controlling one figure - but the downtime between turns would be considerable.  (imagine if we tried to do that with Heroscape!)  Even if it works, it's not quite what I was hoping for in a game.

second, I don't have anyone interested enough in the genre to play this with on a regular basis Wink at least not regularly enough to justify the price tag.  (if someone else buys this though, then I'll help justify it by playing at every OM Wink )

We actually just missed a promo - up to Aug. 26th, FFG was including a free "Wolf" figure with every pre-order.   This soldier was apparently a merc who could fight for either side.

Actually, the game will justify itself to me in its current price based on the quality and number of expansions. If we are talking about Heroscape number of expansions, this looks like a good deal to me.

This game looks like it has similar mood to the Hellboy universe and the "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" PC game... which I both like. Grin

Nazis, monsters, supernatural beings, heroes, ghosts, gods, demons, and soldiers... cool!

I agree, it looks good - I just wish I had more people who I could play it with on a regular basis.  I have a pretty big Heroscape collection, and I have units that have never yet been used Sad

Well, if you don't mind playing late week nights, I can probably show up for your games. I'll need one (1) week advance notice on a playing date. Are you by chance in Makati?

Sadly, no - I'm in Alabang, and I work weeknights Sad

anyways we'll see what happens...maybe when more favorable reviews come out, and if I have the opportunity to buy it cheap, I might try ordering it...

Since we missed the pre-order promo, I think the "Wolf" figure is being sold as an individual figure:
