Well, you can get the army book since it's still better having your own book in hand. Token set is optional. However, you get the quick start rules in your army box where you can cut out the tokens. Cheesy

Go for John priest and limo. They kick-ass Wink

I'll see if I can go on the 20th but I got finals. Might just follow Smiley

So, is $60 for the Oni Army and John Priest (plus $20 shipping) good or bad?

Well, $26.50 for the shipping to be exact. $86.50 all in all, that ok?

He bought the army box from his friend for $50, Priest for $10 and the rest is shipping.  Sounds acceptable for me - the prices are similar to the recent online sale prices.

As for tokens - I plan to make my own, but since you'll have the army box you can cut out the tokens from the backs of the foreign language guides.  And if you want to save, you can just download the rulebook and army book from Rackham, then store them (PDF format) on a laptop or PDA.  When we meet for games, the rest of us have hard copy rulebooks anyway Smiley

So he's been to "District 9" I see...

As for Cogs

Pros:
+ You can have multiple copies of a hero in a platoon as long as its in a different unit
+ AFV Spammer army same like the therians
+ ALL AFVs have auto-repair
+ They have better accuracy
+ They have the Best Infantry sniper unit.
+ EVERY Weapon they have has a shooting re-roll
+ All infantry have the force field advantage. John Priest is the ONLY non-Cog model to date that has the force field advantage
+ The Vandal can be modded to like like a gundam, Armored Core, bellato MAU, etc
+ This is Zoidberg's race  Cheesy
+ etc etc

Cons:
- Units are points-wise expensive
- ALL Vehicles require leadership points to activate
- MUST spend leadership points for force field to gain cover coz they dont get normal cover like everyone else
- They are taller than everyone else
- Infantry lack indirect weapons
- Orange camo may not be for everyone
- Their Quantum blades look awful
- Karman Nova subfaction easily rapes this army unless ur using Cog's G-Norgrat subfaction.

And I have another friend who is interested in the Karmans. He idolizes Gorilla Grodd and Ultra-Humanite. Go figure.

Space monkeys don't have an army box out yet but it'll be released i believe during the 2nd quarter of this year.

Space monkeys so far is the only ARMY w/ flying vehicles thus ignoring terrain elements

Your friends are welcome to come on the 20th. The more, the merrier Smiley

btw, followed lionboy's advice and placed an order with ccgarmory. I have dealt with them before in the US but never international. First time for everything Smiley

Btw, I can lend my box of terrains for participants in the wargame meet. I can pass by for them in the evening. So, who can bring them? Zinegata? Fed? Wink
