Can anyone teach me HOW to REALLY play Bohnanza?  I can't figure out the written rules.  It's really quite weird (or is it just me?)

Thanks! !lol

The rules is confusing at first read and you have to go over it a couple of times.  But actually playing the game 2 - 3 times will make you fully understand it.  I'll provide a Tutorial in our 'Tutorials & Strategies' section soon. Smiley

Bohnanza is a game for two to seven bean farmers, and the objective is to have the most gold at the end of the game.  Game endings depend on the number of players, which determine the number of times the draw pile is reshuffled.  When the last card of the last draw pile is taken, game ends.

If you are a card game player(and most of you are...hello Rummy), you might want to keep in mind that cards in your hand cannot be shuffled.  The cards in hand must follow a specific sequence, since a lot of times you play the first cards first.

Okay, here is something a little less confusing than my descriptions: the gameplay.

Each player starts with five cards in their hands, in order(cards drawn in the future are placed at the back).  Each turn, the player MUST play the first card in his/her hand, and may play the next card if he/she chooses to.  There are two bean fields where you can play the card.  On each bean field, only one type of bean can be planted.  If there are no more available fields to plant a different type of bean, then one of the fields must be harvested.

When you harvest beans, you can earn gold depending on the number of beans there, and the values on the card.  On each card, there are numbers pertaining to the number of cards of that type, and corresponding gold, two, three or four.  That means, if you harvest that amount of cards equal or more than the number, you get the corresponding gold.

There is also a trade phase after the planting phase, wherein you can trade two beans that you must draw from the the draw pile in this phase.  You can also add beans from your hand to give or trade away.  However, cards traded do not go to your hand-- they MUST be planted after all trades are made.

The last phase is a draw phase, where you draw three cards and put them at the back of your hand.

If you have three gold to spare, you can buy a third bean field.

The game gets quicker and more tactical the more you play it.  So buy your own copy now and introduce it to your family!!!:D

I think it's the same price I bought mine, around P600 plus.  I only saw one, though.  Better grab it quick!

Anyone know where we can get sleeves for the Bohnanza cards? The normal sleeves are too big Sad

The cards will experience alot of wear and tear due to it passing hands all the time. I suggest to sleeve. I had to do away with the insert and make myself a new one out of foam core para di magkalat
