its looking pretty interesting in a quirky sort of way whou wouldnt want to play monster and wreck cities?

anyway not sure if this was posted here on the forums somewhere before, but there have been updates lately so thought you guys might find it interesting

I saw this game before.  It looks interesting but isn't this similar to the non-collectable board game "Monster Menace" which is available locally?

yup i think theme wise it could be very similar and battle system as well...

im a bit curious about the 'special' dice though. if you look at their play test pics there are actually dice with blank faces. also there seems to be something going on with their playing surface like points for the building damaged and such not to mention they gots an ultraman faction wheee...

IF it ever shows up in the ph. I wil buy the starter and few boosters. Or whatever package it comes in.

The quality of the miniatures seems excellent but i think most of them like "Lords of Cthul" is a parody of Cthulhu? hmm this kinda turns me off.    But the premise of monsters duking it out in the city should be great fun.  Imagine taking part as a monster in movies like Godzilla & Cloverfield!   

Well I wish the "Monster Menace" boardgame were more successful than the actual rating it garnered.  I almost bought a copy before only to change my mind after I read several negative reviews about the game.  I do hope Monsterpocalypse can do better.

i've been giving some basic demos/overview of the rules over there also.

will try to bring a demo set over to your next OGM if you guys are interested.

Beautiful game for plastic toys.

You should see how big the planet eater monsters are and how well painted they are. It's extremely easy to learn and games are quick.

Still figuring out how to take advantage of a lot of the faction's individual quirks. Each faction appears to play differently.

Please do, I'm curious enough to try it.  I don't know if I'd buy into another collectible hobby - budget is kinda tight - but I'd like to learn

its only a small set so collectability isnt to hard.

find some people to split a case of monster boosters and you should be able to get a full set.

while 1 1/2 - 2 cases of unit boosters should get you most of what you need.

*a case = 12 boosters

tentative retail price is around 1000 for a starter and 650 for a booster.

with enuf people playing trading shouldnt be to hard to get what you need

If you guys are really interested we can have the distributor give a package discount. Something like Php 2000 for a starter and 2 boosters, even if you guys don't play it's still getting the stuff at a discounted price.

Who is the official distributor for this game? Because I am interested of an initial purchase of something more than a starter. Typically a starter and a couple of boosters.

That's why i like "deluxe" starters which I tend to always buy (heroclix, world of warcraft, etc..)

I'm a minis nut. hehehe. (but I cant / dont have time to paint).

Can i have more details where Fortress games is? I know greenhills. But havent explored it well since the reconstruction.
