Fan Fiction to be included in official rulebook!

i recently did a fan-fiction for Felix Paniagua's upcoming Avatars of War. turns out it will become canonical here's an e-mail from him when i asked if i can work as an official contributor

Thanks so much for the Dark Elf story! It is just great! I so much enjoyed reading it!

It will definitely make it into the rulebook, and we’ll of course credit you! Could you let me know your complete name and country in order to credit you properly.

I would very much like to ask you to write a story depicting an arena combat between a few Avatars of War (two bands, of 5 Avatars each one would be just perfect). The crowd has to play an influencing role, cheering the Avatars and also booing them, or even throwing objects at them or jumping on the arena to attack them!

What do you think? You can as well post it on the forums if you like to!

it's to be released pa actually, the shorts on the link i provided are the ones i just resharpened them and re-sent them to Felix Paniagua  a while back

well, when AoW is released, I've been told i will receive a rulebook and a complementary set of figs awesome !

fun facts: Felix Paniagua is a mini sculptor who worked for both Games Workshop and Privateer Press you can check out more on the link i provided not yet available in the Philippines, but when it gets here, i will sure as hell spread it like wildfire hehehehe

btw, we're only waiting for the rulebook and all that. The miniatures are already being sold thru their online shop (gotta love those elves!). huzzaaaah

Hmmm, so I assume that the figs can be obtained only by order.  So they made the figs 1st before the rulebook (or their game is still in beta or something)?

Regardless, I'm into rule reading, so let us know when/where we can get copies of the rulebook with your story in it.

Yup I believe avatara of war is at the moment a minis co and they have some really nice minis ü hehe didn't knw there was a game due soon though that's great to hear man grats on getting your piece in ü hope you get to push further with this ü

well, another piece of good news for is that mr. Paniagua sent me another mail last night saying that upon release of AoW's rulebook, i get a free copy along with some minis ! time to promote a new game :3 hehehe

hey guys AoW's release date is est. by mid September

I'd like to know if anyone would be interested in helping me promote this like looking for a store that could sell? I know I'm in Baguio and all, but i am sure i can find spare time to go down to manila this sem. break

and for a short run down describing the game:

gladiatorial combat ! you pit a band of heroes against each other, reminiscent to anima tactics, only you guys don't use naruto wannabes and other anime figures

also, in the game, Avatars are powered by soul shards, which is both a blessing and a curse. their abilities are brought to a mortal's maximum, but he or she can no longer improve them by training or such. the only way to boost their skills more is to steal another avatar's soul. And arena matches provide the opportunity to harvest spirits like ripened grapes

other pros are:
impressive models, topless hot elf chicks (no, seriously. this is real), and the minis could also be used as heroes in other games such as WHFB or WMH (kung payag mga kalaro mo heheheh )

Their minis are real pretty hehe ... Hmm would like to see their system though first sana d naman sila parang Rackham... Pretty minis but gameplay is only so so ... Haha now if you could use the Rackham armies in a system like pp ! Aha haha

But seriously I like the sound of gladiatorial combat I'm intrigued hehe

i've been given some sneak peeks there are some abilities where in combat, you can hit your opponent to launch them up in the air (ala Marvel vs. Capcom and Guilty Gear), and clash instances, where two opposing heroes hit each other and both receive damage etc. there are also random beasts and fanatics in the arena, so i'm faithful and hopeful that it would be nice
