I can't recommend this online retail store enough...  They have a wide variety of games and they are willing to declare items as gift to help you with customs costs.  The books and few boardgames I ordered all arrived on time and packed very well to avoid shipping damages.

Hi,

After selecting the items you want to buy, Noble Knight will give you the possible shipping methods and corresponding cost.  They offer a variety of delivery methods ranging from express or priority airmail where you get your items within a week (expensive) or via combination of airmail and surface mail (cheaper).

I usually pick somewhere in between the fastest and slowest method of delivery and get my stuff in 2-4 weeks.  All the items I bought have to pass through the post office for customs clearance before they are either delivered to the address you indicated or you are sent a pick-up notice at the post office.

In my experience, low value items that are shipped in envelope are delivered straight to my address at home since that is the delivery address I indicated and no customs or fees are paid.  For items that are shipped in a box, I usually get a pick-up notice and have to go to the post office to claim the stuff.  I have avoided paying customs duties from the stuff I bought from the site probably due to indicating the item as "gift" and that the customs personnel in my particular post office isn't there all the time.

vlad -- would you advise for or against ordering large packages (boardgames) which go into a box?  the customs issue kasi yung nagde-deter sa akin.

I mean, if declared as a gift... chances are di siya papansinin for customs?

Maskmanjoe,

I think I may have ordered 6-7 times na.  Most of these are RPG books and 1 or 2 mid sized boardgames.  You can say that its partly luck that I was able to avoid the customs.  The post office guy in my area doesn't care about the customs guy and told me that the customs guy is assigned to other areas.  He also told me to come in early to make sure he isn't there.   Cheesy  The indication as "gift" on the box may have helped too.

Adrian,

The bigger the box the more it is attractive to the customs people.  The indication as "gift" is supposed to indicate that you didn't buy it and you shouldn't be taxed.  It can be a hit or miss thing.  So far for me, the things I ordered from noble knight haven't been charged by customs fees and duties.  The most I paid was post office fee which is just P35.

Just how big are you ordering?

I've ordered more often from Noble Knight than any other online retailer. Never had a problem with them.
