Whats with the MK2? anu yun?

I'll be dropping by sa fortress on thursday to get some cryx stuff and no quarter magz.
may mga players ba dun pag ganung araw?

Thanks!

oh yeah, ano pala ang books for each faction ng WM? sa WH40k codex right? may army books den ba ang WM?

tHanks!

Mark 2 is sort of a revision of the rules and the units.  With the aim of rebalancing the game and making less used units more favorable.  However it's only implemented for Warmachine factions, saying that Hordes will be next.  What this does though is Warmachine Mk2 can't play with Hordes.

So far Warmachine and Hordes books have been released by story and not by faction.  Each book would have a story of what's happening in Immoren, introducing new units for all factions, and usually also having a campaign based on the story.  So to know all units of a faction you'd have to buy all the books.  I believe for Mk2, they're gonna make faction books, starting with Retribution.

I believe there's a model stats excel file at the Warmachine page on boardgamegeek.com, that'll give you an idea on what the different units are.  But it doesn't have the abilities though.  Sad

There's also the Mk2 Field test files which has the Mk2 rulebook and all the unit cards but that's Mk2.

When WARMACHINE Mk2 gets released, there will be the Mk2 rulebook, which you'll need.  I think it should be cheaper because faction information such as stats, I presume, will not be included in it.  What will happen is that each faction - Khador, Cygnar, Protectorate and Cryx, will get books of their own (Forces of WARMACHINE), which will include all stats and info for all models as of current release in said faction.

They will also release Mk2 faction decks for them.  This one is probably what you need to get in order to play in Mk2.  The book is just there for guys who want to learn about background story, detailed info, maybe some painting tips, etc.  But to play, you need the Mk2 deck.  It's not a bad deal because it kinda doubles as the army book, since it will include stat cards for all models in the faction, but no fluff or background.

No Quarter mags is like GW's White Dwarf - they're just nifty add-ons.  They may include some sneak previews of rules but unless the official publications (force book or faction deck) comes out, they can't be used in tournaments (casual play is all good though).

I might be playing there this Thursday, pero evening pa (after office lang ako pwede, and that's usually 6PM onwards).  Usually meron dun Fridays.

As I said in my previous post, wala pang "army books" for WMH.  I think they'll be called force books, since sa Pirates, they called it Forces of WARMACHINE.

The main rulebooks - Prime Remix, Escalation, Apotheosis, Superiority and Legends - all have stats for all models in WARMACHINE.  For Hordes it's Primal, Evolution and Metamorphosis.  For all intents and purposes, you don't need the books above but it's a good thing to have them.  To play you just need the stat cards that come when you buy the model/s.

Warmachine or Hordes rulebook is P1,500.00 for the soft cover. Hardcover P2,250.00 thereabouts.

Battlebox will depend on which faction you choose but every battle box costs P2,500.00
