Weeknight gaming in Makati

I just met up with thegr8mirror (aka Steve) earlier today and he asked if I knew any gamers who worked in Makati. He suggested meeting up to play board games at his place on de la Costa St. in Salcedo Village on a weeknight.

So I'm posting this to see if we can get a group together to play after office hours. It can't be a long session, maybe 6:00 pm to midnight, but just enough to play a couple of games.

So those of you who work or live in Makati, would you be up to playing on a weeknight? I myself might be able to play on Thursday nights.

This is the coolest suggestion I've heard in a while!

I work in makati and am game for it, and can bring any of the games in my collection for a weeknight meet (see my collection in another post).

Let me know if this gets organized somehow.

Wow! We have a good number of responses already. Including Steve, that makes six of us. With one or two more, we can have two games running simultaneously.

I hope Steve posts here to let us know how many he can actually accommodate and how frequently he is willing to host. He mentioned that he has a large table but I hope he has two at least so we can turn this into a mini-meet.

It’s a good idea, Count me in.

We used to have a Makati gamers meet. We called the event “Weekday Warrior series”.  It was great until we lost the venue. Most games played were Warmachine, Warhammer and trading cards games.

I wouldn't say that Team South is defunct... It just on hiatus!  We should have one soon though 

With the number of interested people, I hope we can all fit.  I took some pictures during the previous wargame meet so that you can get an idea of how his dining room looks like.  Btw, thats Steve behind Mark.

Well...looks like it will be easier than I thought to get another game night during the week. I am currently gaming on Wednesday night, trying to lure some coworkers to the geek-side. So Wednesday nights are out. Let's see...

-I think holding the game night 2x a month would be best (especially if I want to stay married
-6:00-11:00 (I leave for work at 6:30 in the morning)
-I have one large table that can fit 6-8...and a large coffee table that another 4 players could use if need be.
-which day?
Wednesdays are out.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are ok, but nobody can show up early because I try to play   basketball nextdoor until 5:30.
-Mondays are great.
-Fridays are ok and we can play later since I don't work on Saturday.

What do you guys think?

I think twice a month is just fine. We can game on the weeks in between the monthly OGM and NGGM, which means the second and fourth weeks of the month.

Personally, the best day for me is Thursdays but Tuesdays is fine too. Fridays I will have to negotiate with my wife as we usually have dinner out (and sometimes see a movie). I get off work at 5:30 at the earliest so 6:00-11:00 is ok with me.

How about, just to get the ball rolling, we meet next Tuesday, Nov. 18? It's too late to set up anything this week and that's a few days before the next NGGM. We can then discuss when to meet again, say, in early December.

I'll be out of the country from Nov. 24-28, so I'll miss any gaming that week.

The only trouble with mine is that I can't stay up too late unless I stay overnight at the place where I would be (which I doubt would be possible)

Monday, Tuesday or Thursday is fine with me.  Fridays have to be negotiated also since I'm with my girlfriend that night and still have work the following day.   

Count me in for Tuesday next week.
