Tuesday next week sounds good to me. Some games I have that we can finish in one evening are:

Settlers w/Knights and Cities
Citadels
Dune
Elfenland
Shogun (Samuri Swords)
Carc
Battletech
Blokus
Coloretto

2player games:
Twilight struggle
Dungeon Twister
ASL (we'll need Vlad to teach that one if anybody wants to play)
Shogi
Chess
Backgammon
Magic the Gathering

And I'm willing to try something else if anybody wants to bring games.

Haven't played ASL in a while and may need to brush up again...

I would also like to demo/try-out my game: Crusader Rex if anyone is interested...

Copy of the rules and a preview of the map and cards are here:

As always, I'm willing to bring and teach games. I have a whole lot of eurogames so I can bring a couple on Tuesday. I can bring two of my newer games, Container and Race for the Galaxy, as these aren't too bulky.

You can also check out my collection here:

Let me know if there's anything you'd like to try out.

PowerGrid pwede pa... but Arkham Horror... que horror!  It will be the only game we will play between 6pm and 11pm (including rules explanations).  I assume people are new to the game, or need refresher sa rules.  We tried a game of 8 people before sa Gamecrab.  Mostly newbies.  Took us 4.5 hours.  Sad

Power Grid I have to read the rules pa... but if everyone is game for it... :p

Que Horror indeed! If it's gonna be tuesday next week, I'll have to find some miraculous way to go there and stay there THAT late - if ever I may, I'll bring in the Curse of the Dark Pharaoh expansion for Arkham Horror (since there might be newbies to the game that Dunwich Horror might not take too kindly at XD)

Haha.
I heard of married guys needing a "gate pass" from their significant others before they can leave the house & disappear for hours.
=D

Anyway, I'm in for the house stag party... err... I mean...
home gaming meet
=P

By the way, I've been to a number of home-venue gaming sessions when I was still in Califonia & a few times in Manila.
It might be a good idea to inform the guests of any "house rules" just to make sure we don't get on the bad side of the spouse especially.

From my experience, here are some pointers that might help:

> B mindful not to make a mess in their bathroom (whethr they have a maid or not is beside the point, trust me)
> Don't ask too much food from the host, bring ur own if u haven't had dinner yet
> If u want, u can bring a little something for the hosts (e.g. bottle of soda, cookies, ice cream, or anything that u can afford)
> Help clean up after & don't forget to thank the hosts.

Like I said, thats just from my experince so u can just take it as a grain of salt
=P

Have a good one y'all.

-I think holding the game night 2x a month would be best (especially if I want to stay married Smiley

What do you guys think?

My wife is pretty cool about me having the group over a couple of times a month. We just need to keep the noise down a bit (my daughter goes to sleep at 7:30).

WARNING: If you are a smoker we don't have a balcony, so you'll have to go outside downstairs for your fix.

I would love to try Arkham Horror, but am up for any game.

So, just to confirm... is Tuesday's gaming night a 'go'? Smiley
And should I bring Power Grid?

Steve - I'll bring my Arkham Horror base game for introductions and maybe a couple of demo rounds.  But I think it's tough to expect to play a full game.  If people are interested in it after tuesday, I can bring it to the next Weekday Makati Gaming Night (WMGN), where we can play a full one.
