Mrs. Je Ching Wu came by my place today to pick up one of their games in my posession.
(Titus, hope ur keeping track of who got what Playroom game 'coz I didn't).

Anyway, Je said that they're doing an event tie-up w/ Greenwich Pizza thats taking place early(?) next month.  She was hoping to get some volunteers from TTW to help teach her games to the event attendees & passers-by.

I think this is an early marketing attempt to help promote the games she's trying to cheaply bring in.  This equates to a ripple benefit to any vendors that carries her product too.

Our site administrator & others have voiced in d past their disdain of monopolistic practices in a growing area such as boardgaming.  I also agree that if we can somehow do our part in assisting new supplier's entry into the fray, the benefits will somehow trickle down to us (e.g. new market players = competitive pricing = also better services for d community)?

Already Je is happy to sell direct to contributing TTW members her products at a 10-15% discount.  I guess she believes that our community will do what we can in making her venture a win-win situation to every1 involved.

wow this is interesting. I'm quite interested, primarily because I enjoy teaching new games to non-gamers (there's a certain challenge to it and a bit of joy in seeing them actually enjoy the experience, if they do :p); secondly because I agree with CP's thoughts about the community helping out new entrants; and thirdly because I most certainly like those discounts

Thats uncanny.  I just thought about them today & texted Je.  She replied me w/ d same info.  Wonder watever happened to their Greenwich tie-up event?   

I can just imagine getting them in trouble if passers-by sees us playing this while @ their event

Ilium caught my attention right away. Are the playroom folks dropping by any OGM soon to demo these? Would be fun
