I read in Boardgamenews.com about a night life place ( I do not know if its a bar or nightclub or ice cream shop) which is called PlayDate in Atlanta, Georgia.
Based from the CNN Article it opened in 2005.

It caters to people who do not like to go to bars and whatnots (meat market) and just feel like children and play the games that we play, Scrabble, Jenga, Uno, Musical Chairs etc.  (think party games and ice breakers of your younger years)

This place sounds fun, I hope we can have something like this here in the Phil. We have too much of Alchemy and Emba and all those other places, where the people who wants to be gossip girl are found. <--- omg elitist comment waiting to be flamed... anyway this is just my opinion about the topic Cheesy

That actually sounds like a lot of fun.  I'm not sure if that would click here though.  If someone wants to start it, I'd go Smiley

We do have a place like this and yes, it also has been written about, featured in the news, etc ----> Gamecrab. I bet some bloke in a godforsaken town in the Philippines (Samar, Marinduque, etc) saw the feature and is thinking, "Wouldn't it be great if there was a Gamecrab in my neighborhood rather than all those all night Videoke spots?".

We should write about Gamecrab and get it posted in Boardgamenews.com. I'm sure this playdate place would pale in comparison.
