Actually - you would overpower the decks nowadays.  A Naga deck is from the days when giants walked the Earth and armies died by droves. Nowadays, Samurai-era decks are where paper cuts would kill people - less limited and battle PK and slowed down development overall. 

The five rings are still there - but now easier to play for easier enlightenment, though they've been made weaker in response.

oh I doubt I'd overpower anyone, my deck was straight out of the box because of 2 things - first, I never learned how to tune the deck properly and second, I only bought a couple other boosters and never found any cards that really improved the deck.  But thanks for the info, if I do happen to find my old cards I'll bring them to the next OGM.

Actually, there are starter sets are on sale I think. Php 300 instead of Php 700.

We could do a starter only tournament!

We need to toss in rules that when you win. you get reinforcement points so you can add cards (a booster you buy). Old boosters at Php 25.

reinforcements points to trade..

Things like that. hehehe

It's a lot cheaper if you preselect a card pool instead of restricting yourself to fresh packs.

Yah, aerolb, what time? I might have a limited time slot to attend the open meet and to learn the game would be my only goal

Demo starts when it opens - I'm planning to demo most of the night to anyone interested (and hopefully sneak in a few other games to play). Mark Navarro, the guy assisting me, has to leave for Baguio around 7, but I'll be there all OGM.

Yes, I said "these".  Aerol was kind enough to give me two decks since I was one of the last to take demo this night and he still had a bunch of extra decks.  You guys rock!

I hear that boosters are also selling for like P25 now at Glorietta - is that right?  Can anyone confirm?

Booster packs for expansions that are considered legacy are pretty much 50-25% cheaper than the original price; except of course if the expansion is filled with chase rared. ^_^

I'm trying to organize something for your guys who're jumping into the game via Legacy and also those who want to jump into samurai (current arc) and Celestial (the next are)
