Hm, do you mean because it's legally free-to-play? Most PnP games are really free, or at least legal once you pay for the PDF. Doesn't make them not PnP though.
If you guys are getting them bulk printed, would you mind posting the price? Maybe we could get a bulk discount?
Assuming I have a membership at Fujifilm, it would cost 2 php * 84 cards * 9 decks = 1512 php. Without a membership, 1890 php. A far cry from the 10k it would have cost to buy a box of starter decks.
It would actually be more expensive to buy colored sleeves for the cards - good KMC sleeves cost ~260 per pack of 100. Works out at about 2400 on sleeves if you want nine different colors. To be fair, you would have sleeveed a real starter box too, there's no getting around it.
Personally though, I don't think I'll be printing Kolat anytime soon - I'm still playtesting my own pet project, a 2-player set based on the Clan War storyline but using LE/EE rules.
