Partly for vanity  Grin, and partly because it might also be a way to introduce you to some books, comics, and other reading material that you may be interested in, but don't know about.  I did say might.

My first entry is Mouse Guard. David Petersen's Eisner Award winning comic about a group of mice that help their fellow kin in the forest during the Medieval Era.

It's a great read, although the second series stalled for a good half year due to restructuring by the publisher last year.  Fans hope that the rest of the series will finally be released this year.

The comic already has an RPG based on it, which was released last year.  It also had a board game slated to be released late last year as well, but that project seems to have stalled.

Since, it's a comic not published by "the Big Two", it's not available locally, so I just torrent it.

Looks interesting, I'll have a look at it Smiley it sounds a bit like Watership Down, and Tailchaser's Song.

Actually Mouse Guard, at least the fall compilation, is available at Fully Booked Power Plant. As for torrents, IIRC there should be a compilation of Fall and the current issues for Winter at h33t.

My second entry is The Sword by the Luna Brothers.  It's been so long since I restarted reading comics that I have not been paying attention to the young blood in comics these days.

The Luna Brothers have already released two series, Ultra, and Girls.  Now, they are in the third chapter of The Sword.

The Sword deals with a college student who acquires an ancient sword that bestows upon her some extraordinary powers.

The art is clean, but the action depicted has a cinematic feel.

I guess I won't comment on availability.  You probably know how to obtain it, if you are really interested. Hehehhee

I went through their website and the stuff they made are very interesting!  I've seen the deluxe hardcover edition of "Girls" at Fully Booked Serendra at the basement where all the graphic novels are located.

Can we suggest some other books to read too?

Vlad: go ahead... I would suggest that you also create your own thread... thereby.. people also have an idea of what kind of titles either comics or books that you are in to.  Grin
