Today, I received my copy of FORBIDDEN ISLAND!  Just looking at the shrink-wrapped tin casing made me drool.  Upon opening the lid, I was just amazed of the excellent game components included... from the quality of the prints, the materials used for the cards, the game pieces, content write-up, artwork, smell, and everything.  I can say the quality of this game can be compared to popular games published by Days of Wonder.  Gamewright did a nice job with Forbidden Island!

The gameplay is very solid and somewhat similar to "Pandemic", being designed by the same game designer.  But "Forbidden Island" oozes with much more theme.  I like the art style very much being almost similar to Mike Mignola's Hellboy (for the Adventurer Cards, game pieces, and the background story) and "Ghost Stories" (for the Flood Deck cards and Tiles).

The mechanics of the game feels classicly solid.  I enjoyed my first run with Forbidden Island and can see it being easily accepted by my gaming family. For the price, this game is a great value!  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
