Long before the Thyatians came to the land now known as the Grand Duchy of Karameikos, the native humans of the land -- the Traladarans -- struggled to survive and prosper in a land haunted by humanoid hordes, werecreatures, and undead horrors.

Under the stern hand of Grand Duke Stefan Karameikos, the land seems at last ready to emerge as one of the players in Mystaran politics and power -- if the simmering tensions between the Thyatian nobility and the Traladarans don't boil over.

One potential flashpoint: Luln, a farming town located halfway between civilization and the Black Eagle Barony. Nestled between the Riverfork Woods and the Radlebb Woods, and held together by the leadership of Mistress Sascia in spite of the constant raids and harassment by the Black Eagle Baron (distant cousin of Grand Duke Stefan), it has made modest strides forward in prosperity.

A recent development in the already unfortunate status quo threatens to change that: the mad ogre Logbrag.

In the past, Logbrag relied on extortion and intimidation to rob merchants on the northern road out of Luln. Recently, he's begun raiding villages and murdering travelers with little concern for commodities or coin. The kobolds that used to support his efforts have disappeared.

Townmistress Sascia has asked her trusted swordarm, Morgan Ironwolf, to gather adventurers together for an expedition to the ogre's mountain cave and straighten out matters once and for all...
