Chapter 00: Northbound on Riverfork Trail

Looking back at his companions, Blackjack states, "I'll be back soon....I hope." 

Blackjack slowly and carefully makes his way up the trail toward the mouth of the cave.  He keeps close watch on any signs of trouble that might be hiding just off the trail.

Wait." says Hagar to Blackjack holding the man on his shoulders. 

"I am willing to accompany you.  I can see in the dark and can fight as well." says Hagar

"If you want my help that is..." he asks the thief.     

[Rolf]

...while from behind them, down the trail, they heard "And remember!  We are with you in shpirit!!"  This from Boris, uttered in a stage whisper that couldn't have been heard from more than fifty feet away.

Fortunately, that was almost exactly his distance behind them.
