El Grande: Decennial Edition

Price: PHP 3,300 (Sale, SW - Mint)

The game is based on Spain in the 15th Century. The aristocracy, especially the Grandes, the high aristocracy, controlled events in Spain. However, the average aristocracy, the Caballeros, also enjoyed extensive powers. All regions wanted to develop their own power and influence. To this end, the Castles (Castillos) played an important role. Each player is the Grande in one region. He is allied with 30 Caballeros. Each Grande attempts, to the benefit of Spain and for his own benefit, to extend his influence across the whole of Spain. To accomplish this, he must control the majority of Caballeros in as many regions as possible. The Grande who succeeds in this is on the path to success in winning the game.

If Eurogame collection is like building a fictional private army,
den this game wud b like one of ur Colonels (ur games that wud play like Generals will depend on ur taste, of cors).
Wink

A game 1st published @ d same year I ventured alone to Southern California to start my 10-year process of discovering another world (tournament paintball & softball was also among d hobbies I really enjoy aside frm Eurogaming, among others).

Anyway, shud u like area control/ influence & bidding games then this shud fit-in well w/ ur game collection  Cool
