Since I think most of us have one or the other, let's make a thread so we know which games we can download.

The following are the ones that I know are out in the app store:

Settlers of Catan
Medici
Poison
Zooloretto
Carcassone
Treasure Fleet
Cluedo
The Game of Life
Trivia Pursuit

Other games that have come out in the meantime:

Ghost Stories
Puerto Rico
Dixit
Kiproko (Time's Up)
Ticket to Ride
Viking Lords (Memoir 43 system rip off)
Risk

Also for those of you interested in turn based games I can recommend:

a) Tactical Warrior- Fantasy Squad Based Tactics with relatively deep skill development and 10 classes of warriors. Fast to play, and amusing though the graphics are very simplistic.

b) Hunters HD- Think Xcom/Jagged Alliance but without height and ducking/crawling. Game is primarily move and shoot, but the character skill development allows you to specialize warriors in Agility, Health, Damage and Leadership skills. Grinding necessary.

Elder Signs: Omens is the Ipad/Iphone Version of the board game and it is harder than its cardboard version. The differences are that the Ipad version has only one GOO (Azatoth) and if his doom track is filled, its tentacle rape for the world! The Mythos deck of the Ipad version is simplified, and has some pretty unforgiving events like +2 and +3 doom tokens without any chance to avert them.

Also, you must defeat a monster on an adventure task in addition to all the other tasks to be able to claim it as a trophy. In the boardgame you can collect them without completing the task. (though Bind Monster and the Flute of the Outer Gods can help by auto-defeating the creature) Allies are also not present in ES: Omens.

The artwork of the Boardgame really pops out on the Ipad as the illustrations are enlarged to fill the screen! And it comes with scary music and sound effects to add more "atmosphere".

ES:Omens is still a good translation, though I still prefer rolling actual dice as I don't trust machines randomly generating symbols, whatever. In any case, still an enjoyable game, though being limited to one GOO is a bit of a drag.

Elder Signs: Omens is out on Android also. Also Settlers of Catan. There are some turn-based games like Uniwar also.

On Topic: Yeah, Starbase Orion is a "clone" of Master of Orion 2. Other turn-based games are Crimson: Steam Pirates and a copy of the same Steambirds: Survival- both are combat oriented, Crimson has some fluff, while Steambirds has no plot, just battles.

The iOS boardgames blog at BGG should pretty much cover most of the stuff out there. It also covers android stuff.

One game that hasn't been mentioned though, is Steambirds. Its kinda like Wings of War but instead of laying down cards to plot airplane movement, you simply drag your finger on the touchscreen.

Brawl and Forbidden Island are both out for iOS... and so far, both seem to be excellent implementations.

Enjoying Brawl right now. The app is free and comes with 3 decks. Additional decks are $1.99 each.

Darn! I miss playing this game, since I seem to have misplaced all my decks. Hopefully they're still in print and I can order them (more money going Hans's way). Tongue Hahaha!

Darn, Forbidden Island is $4.99. For $10 more, you'll get the physical game. I don't think the price is worth it Sad
