Zombie lovers rejoice! The cult-hit comic series "The Walking Dead" has made it to the TV screen- it can be seen on Fox Channel; Channel V; and Star TV. Or you can try certain other sources ehem ehem. Anyway, this is a great new series and if you enjoy Zombies and the Zombie-Geddon theme, then this is a great series to watch.

I just hope they stay true to the comic book where really, "no one is safe".

For all you World War Z Fans though, this is more of a micro-level view of the outbreak, with ordinary people trying to survive in a world gone undead.

Hey, so this will be based on the Robert Kirkman comic? I loved his Invincible series (have it in hardcover), but haven't gotten around to reading this yet. Guess I'll be watching it instead!

Yes indeed, it will be based on the comic by Robert Kirkman. I watched the first episode and its faithful to the comic. Great stuff.

Yeah its thankfully not cheesy. Heh, made me realize that the Walking Dead comic feels like its been dragging for so long that I've actually forgotten about Shane and Lori.

Well we're at Episode 4 of 6, and its pretty good if a bit of a downer. The good news is there will be a second season with a full 13 episodes, the bad news is it will be aired in October 2011.  Grin

Actually they got lucky kasi dapat Pilot lang na 1 episode, but I think because it was Frank Darabont, they gave them money for 6.

ok, few more episodes have aired.

there are several differences from the comics. Not too happy with that. but overall story is still intact.

Dang it, episodes are coming out too slow. LOL

So the first season has come to a  close with a BANG. Unfortunately, fans are left whimpering as the next season picks up in October 2011. Awwww.

The series is not sticking slavishly to the comic book series and has already taken some major deviations. But, nonetheless, the mood, atmosphere, and the verisimilitude of the comic are there. Definitely a series to keep watching.

You are in luck as Frank Darabont mentioned that they will introduce Michonne early in the series, so Season 2 is very likely to see her appear.

I hope they get Gugu Mbtha-Raw to play her.
