A few sites like ign.com or fileplanet.com gave/is giving away beta keys. So yeah, its currently in beta and is still free.

That's my character in the opening instance/tutorial. I haven't played much but I like what I see so far. Combat isn't just standing still and then spamming number keys for skills. They made combat dynamic by requiring you to move around and then alternate between mouse buttons to attack, and then shift to block, plus number keys for skills. Feels like an action game and not some tired Korean game cliche.

Character creation entails choosing a mentor (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Joker, Circe), a power type (Fire, Ice, Mental, Nature, Tech, etc), primary weapon (Dual wield, single wield, staff, bow, rifle, handguns, martial arts, hand blasts, etc), costume [which can be changed in-game when you find new equipment that adds stat bonuses too] and mode of fast travel (flight, acrobatics, super speed).

As said, haven't played much and I wasted a lot of time with the character creator (not pictured: The Lady and Seksi Bro) but the game gave a very good first impression. They're not copying World of Warcraft that's for sure, and thats a very good thing.
