I dont know if i posted on the right forum, but here goes my inquiry.

Our family loved the game and we're up to expand the game, problem is, we're confused on what to buy next after this SoC base game.

We want to add more players and we like the Cities and Knights to spice up our evening.

How we got confused? the boardgeek site shows that we need to buy the Cities and Knights Base Game before geting the C&K 5-6 players expansion.

We thought we just need to buy the SoC base game, and then buy the C&K expansion.

and if i may add, at first i hesitated to buy the game because my family and youth from church might not appreciate the game, but surprisingly, they did! and now! they're queuing up who goes next to play!

whew... so we need to expand up to 5-6 players... HELP!!!

the 5-6 player expansion is just that...adds enough components so that 5-6 players can play rather than just 4. C&K adds new elements to the game itself but it assumes you only have the base set. You need a separate 5-6 players expansion FOR C&K if you want to play it with C&K added

If its still confusing here is the list of all products you need to buy if you want to play SoC with 5-6 players and C&K

A. SoC base set
B. SoC 5-6 player expansion
C. SoC Cities and Knights expansion
D. SoC Cities and Knights 5-6 player expansion

In short, if your goal is to just allow 5-6 players to play, Products A and B are enough. If you want the C&K new elements into the game but only for 4 players you get A and C. If you want to play the C&K elements for 5-6 players you need all 4 products

To increase your number of players, just buy the 5-6 player expansion.

Now, to enjoy C&K, you have to buy the C&K expansion, and if your group enjoyed it, expand it with the 5-6 player expansion. Do let me know as I have a couple available for sale

togashi, yours made me confused again... do you have the C&K like JayMata just mentioned? I have the SoC Base game, Jaymata said i just need the C&K Base... (e.g. A and B from his message)

Yes, I do have C&K like jay mentioned. You just need the C&K Base Expansion.
