In the dark depths of a drifting space wreck, a small team of specialists investigates unusual scanner readings of life on board. The team acts relaxed; banter hides their anxiety. Motion scanners show nothing; torches illuminate the dank corridor casting long shadows.

Suddenly the point man's scanner shows movement ahead, increasing in speed. His reflexes are conditioned by experience, so he shoulders the carbine. The torch illuminates a horrific shape. Recognising danger the point man fires the carbine in a rapid series of bursts.

An alien screeches of pain and the creature falls to the ground. You have just made first contact.

More motion scanners come to life, movement all around you starts closing in through the maze of ship's corridors. This is more than five men can handle. It is time to withdraw back to the assault shuttle.

What is The Gauntlet?

The Gauntlet is a print 'n play board game for 1-6 players. Designed as an entertaining tactical-action and strategy game, the game is based around teaching leadership concepts and team work.

Players are tasked with a simple mission, get the team to safety. Players choose their leaders and role within the team, each team character has unique skills or abilities which can be used to advantage by the team and individual. The teams leader guides the play of the game, allowing the individuals to create team work to support each other.

The play is fast and furious, players quickly mastering the simple mechanics designed to focus the players on making decisions than working out how to play. Within minutes players will be talking, making decisions and blasting aliens.

Indeed.  It's too obvious in the art, theme, etc.  I wonder how long will it take for "TOG" company to bring that down.  Roll Eyes

rolf, the your reputation as the renowned maid is catching on.

wonder how much this game would cost. it would be interesting how they'd adjust the rules to accommodate more players. i mean hopefully not to end up like a 1v1 game where you'd just have somebody else to move your other pieces for you.

rofl - "that company which shall not be named."
