can someone explain how to get more cards for valerie? it's kinda hard if you combo and combo every turn... is there anyway to get more cards other than blocking?
Both her 7 and Ace allow her to draw cards aside from blocking. After nuking (and I strongly suggest you nuke with at least a 5-length combo), you get to pull out Aces which will help you draw faster than your opponents during your more vulnerable (and predictable) phase. Chromatic Orb will make Val less likely to be predictable

If you want to combo every turn just use Setsuki
But seriously as MMJ suggests its a matter of using Aces and 7's while mixing in blocks as well- til the time you can do a 5-6 hit combo. Valerie can definitely pull off big combos and do mucho damage, but you have to be a bit more strategic in card management (or valuation, as the Yomi forums say) as you will definitely hurt yourself if you go down to 2 cards or less- living off the peel is amusing but dangerous.

With Valerie, there's just no possible way to pull off a combo every single turn as she is very card intensive. As MMJ and Talismanic have suggested, capitalize on her special cards in-between combos to help rebuild your hand while still keeping your opponent on his/her toes. Valerie was designed with her bi-polar tendencies in mind, reflected by the constant highs and lows of your hand size.
Also, as Talismanic has suggested, if you really want to play a character that can theoretically pull off a combo every single turn, you might wanna opt for Setsuki instead (and to a lesser extent Jaina).

Also one possible strategy is to save up your 7's for the time that you can do a 5-6 hit combo so you get cards and Aces. Of course, this means using blocks and throws very well until that moment. Tricky, but the payoff is likely to be game-ending.

well that was very helpful... it's not that i can't maintain a good amount of hands but the last game i played valerie was a bit too hard since i used a combo which consists of linkers and normal attacks so my hand was reduced to a mere two... so i just wanted to know if theres a way to avoid that... and for the record i'm just trying out the other characters.. i really play jaina and setsuki and some sort get the feel of their abilities already... so i'm getting to know the other characters... i believe that knowing them will help beat them...
