A sequel to Arclight's deckbuilding game Barba*Rossa (ばるば★ろっさ), it depicts the first battle of El Alamein during WWII, as the Axis powers thrust through Africa to conquer Alexandria. Like it's predecessor, the artwork in El*Alamein consists of scantily clad anime girls.

Although it's technically possible to use the cards in both sets together, El*Alamein is first and foremost a game on its own, and is better described as a "compatible sequel" than a standalone expansion.

Played this twice already. The first time with lostboy, and the second time with my two brothers. It's an improved Barbarossa!

Basically, this game tries to capture the feel of a desert campaign and does it well for a deck building game. You gain and deploy units in your goal to capture Alexandria. The fun part is that the game will attack you back at a certain point in the game, namely the British forces. The downside is that this game takes two hours to play for me so far.

Easily my favorite deck building game at the moment Smiley

2 Hours  Shocked Interesting, is the length due to the difficulty of the targets?

Nope, it's the lack of supplies.... You only have 6 truck transports and the only transport you can purchase are Sea Transports... Which gives supplies equal to x where x is the number of Luftwaffe cards you have deployed.

In other words, pulubi ka dito Smiley

But, if you are familiar with the cards, I think the time can be cut to an hour or hour and a half Smiley
