You will PM me the following. For EVERY item you own you will
1) write your name in parenthesis
2) You will write the code name of the game you own, followed by a space, then a colon, then followed by the code name of the games you want (The algorithm will only attempt to give you the items listed: You won't run the risk of getting items you didn't list yourself) for that game in order of preference from left to right with space in between. It should look like this:
<owned game> : <wanted game 1> <wanted game 2> ... etc
example:
(Jay) POG2 : ALHA BARO PCK3 CTC4
In this example, code name POG2 is my game and code name ALHA, BARO, PCK3, and CTC4 are the games I want to get for it, with ALHA the one I most prefer for it and CTC4 being the least preferred. The want list for each item can be as long or as short as desired.
PREVENTING YOUR GAME FROM TRADING:
If you do not want a game you own traded away (either because you changed your mind about trading it away or feel that nothing in the pool is worth that particular game), you leave that particular item's want list blank
DEALING WITH DUPLICATE ITEMS
If there are several copies of the same game and you want to get one but are afraid you may end up having two copies of the same game if you put an offer for both, the way around this to create a dummy item. Here's how:
a) create a fake item with a "%" followed by a random number
b) In this fake item put as its want list all the duplicates
example: %506 : EXAM1 EXAM2 EXAM3 (same game from different owners)
c) Now put the fake item as a want in your real list
example (Jay) GAT2 : ALHA POG2 %506 CORK
(Jay) THUN : CRCC COLF %506 XTRA
This will let you trade for all similar items (increasing your chances of getting that particular game) without the risk of ending up with several copies of the same game. Note that priorities are ignored in a dummy want list. However, the priority of the dummy item in the want list for one of your regular items is handled normally.
3) You will repeat this for each item you own in the pool so the message you send to me should look like this
(Jay) POG2 : ALHA BARO PCK3 CTC4
(Jay) GAT2 : ALHA POG2 %506 CORK
(JAY) FORN:
(Jay) THUN : CRCC COLF %506 XTRA
(JAY) %506 : EXAM1 EXAM2 EXAM3
In this example, item FORN I decided not to trade away while the last line is a fake item where I included as a want all the duplicates and put that fake item as a want for game THUN that I own.
Other notes:
- Please double and triple check you syntax before submitting them to me to make sure that you don't accidentally get an item you don't want.
-ALL CODE NAMES MUST BE IN CAPS LIKE THIS
-IMPORTANT NOTE: the preference is there to help the computer decide but note that while you are telling the algorithm you would rather have the leftmost item, you will still be perfectly happy to get the rightmost item... please DO NOT enter an item you only half-heartedly want and would only regret later.
