I've decided to start this thread for the growing group of boardgamers who play at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC). So far, our regular session is held on Tuesday nights, but other weeknights are catching up quickly.

We are open to experienced players and newcomers alike. Feel free to check, inquire or organize gaming sessions at the BGC here. Smiley

Let's post our plans here to avoid/lessen the hijacking of other threads like we've been doing lately. Tongue

Talismanic, we can start our plans for tom's (Thursday, April 28) Runebound session here. I passed by McDonald's Forbes Town Center on my way home last night and checked the place out (and still saw Maskmanjoe, Adrian and Dyeyk2000 in the middle of their Le Havre game). The place had tables which can be joined together to make enough room for Runebound layout, but if there are many people, we might not have access to enough tables for joining. If you have other suggestions, just post here so I'll know where to go tom. Smiley

I think the top factors to consider are:

- 24 hours?
- Tables
- Space to move around?
- Price

In which case, I really think it should be Mcdo Forbes Park or any self-service restaurant. I think restaurant tenants get uncomfortable since we will usually jump from table to table, and their productivity/profitability/logistics is on a per table basis.

The nice thing about McDo Forbes is it rarely gets crowded like a Jollibee and there's parking right across.

McDo Forbes Town Center is fine with me. Its all up to Talismanic now if tom's Runebound session will be held there. Smiley

As I've mentioned in another thread, Talismanic is bringing his copy of Runebound with some expansions, while I'm bringing my copy of the base game only. Since Runebound is ideal for 3-4 players, we can host up to 8 players total. Of course, those who want to join us tom, but want to play something else are welcome to bring other boardgames as well. I'm okay with that too, but can Jake make it?

Thanks for the offer Claro, but it seems The Fort is more accessible to more people on a weekday.

For those interested in joining, today's Runebound session will be held at McDonald's at the Forbes Town Center. Talismanic and I will be meeting there at around 5:30. Smiley

That makes no sense.  It's not like their place upstairs is packed with people.

What's our headcount for Runebound? And what time is it starting?

Likewise, I dunno why they couldn't see the potential of us being there. It isnt as if the place cant get rowdy as well. And we keep getting food. Oh well.

Exactly. But it's due to another reason. They fear that the boardgaming might be mistaken as "gambling". Or rather, they think we might actually be gambling!

That's why I'll always be a proponent of playing boardgames in public. It's a small step towards raising awareness to the hobby. And every step, no matter how small, counts. Cheesy
