Panic Station is a paranoia-driven partly cooperative game in which you control two characters in the Extermination Corps sent out by the government to investigate the presence of fiendish alien life forms.

Players need to move both their Androids and Troopers through the base, exploring and gathering equipment that will help them to complete their mission: to find and destroy the Parasite Hive hidden somewhere in the inner depths of this hell. When a player manages to get his Trooper into the Hive location and play 4 gas can cards to fuel his Flamethrower, he wins the game for the humans.

However, 1 of the players is a Host. He must keep this identity secret, infecting as many team members as possible to gain allies and prevent the humans from completing their mission.

Only players who carefully watch the behavior of team members and find a good balance between cooperation and paranoia will stand a chance against the infected players and roaming parasites.

Panic Station is a game of growing paranoia in which no one can truly trust anyone. Can you maintain your sanity and destroy the source of this evil?

Looks good Smiley appears to be a card driven game of some kind.  News says it's been picked up by a publisher.

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Got to play this with my friends, we have a full party of six.
We played using version 2.2 of the rules more or less as there were some rules mistakes here and there but not much to create a sour experience.

They are mostly none gamers. I was surprised they got to the theme of the game to its core and played to win as a human and rejected the pitfall to be infected.

Despite the mechanical and theme-logical disconnects,
(android and trooper symbiosis) gun/rifle  restriction...
the gas can logic to ward of infection. My group had been very
open to the taxing of the rules of the game.

After the first game they -- without thought, automatically requested a second session all of which result to Human Victory.

The 1st game (learning game)
I was the host and caused much paranoia that they started accusing each other, even though
I deliberately did not infect any of them till the end.
Which to their surprised on the mandatory heat scan when the hive is revealed there was still only one that is infected.

The 2nd game
The station layout was claustrophobic, lots of parasites, locked areas which ended in trades, infections, lies and shooting and even grenades! to kill parasites along with the characters in the room, twice! just to eliminate black parasites.

Quotes of the game:
"What the, there is only one infected?! (host)"

"This is the most gay item - (referring to the body scanner)" -- well he had all the scanner and keycards XD and wanted to shoot someone.

"I thought this game is easy you people are hard to read!"

"This game is all about lies!"

"I know your human because I know you so well and you're so bad at lying."

"I have found the hive... but I have no gas can! hahaha"

After heat scan 3 on 3 was the count, then a trade between occurs.the player whom they believe is still human shouted! "AAAAh!"
and the rest of them: "He's already infected it's now 4-2 we are the only once left!"

I am happy to say that the group is very happy with game... they have come to Panic Station with an open mind.
