Does anyone have any solo gamebooks they would be willing to get rid of?  You know, the Choose Your Own Adventures, Lone Wolf, or Fighting Fantasy type books.  Even Warhammer Warriors, Battlebooks, Lost Worlds, Ace of Aces, etc.

Cheers,
Joe

the old TSR 1-on-1 books?  Seriously?  Where the heck did you get those??  And I'd love to try the game sometime.  Very cool, indeed!

yup, got them on sale at the late great Nova Fontana some years back.  I have King Takes a Dare right beside me, and I know I have the Lankhmar one (Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser) on a shelf somewhere.  I'm pretty sure I have at least one more but I can't remember what it is at the moment.  Maybe the Dragonlance one.  I'll bring them over next time I drop by.

Found a forum on BGG that has links to a computerized version of Fabled Lands, Lone Wolf set, as well as a another. Just thought to post since it is sort of like a solo gamebook.

I have around 20 of these in my sell/trade pile. Bought them for my kids but they never really caught on with them.

Hey Mark,

I'm definitely interested in taking them off your hands. Smiley  What gamebook series are they?

Just had a thought, if you attend the July 16 Wargame Meet, I can just bring the whole box for you to rummage through.

I wish I could, but it won't be possible this time.  However, I'm pretty serious about getting them.  Are the books the old Choose Your Own Adventures paragraph based types, the Lone Wolf rpg type, or Lost Worlds 2 player book games?

I'm more interested in the latter two.  Not so much the Choose Your Own Adventure types.

I don't need a real list of each individual book.  PM me what you'd want for the whole lot of 'em.

These are old books published by TSR, paragraph based. There are also 3 or 4 sets of 2 player book games, Marvel Super Heroes and a D&D one IIRC.

I have the Duelmaster series of books, Duelmaster 1 Challenge of the Magi and Duelmaster 2 Blood Valley.

Great memories of WAITing for your opponent to finish reading his paragraph before both of you could battle it out Smiley

Let me look for them and see if I'm still attached to them Cheesy

Í miss my Grailquest books the most, had a set of Grailquest 1-8. Lost track of them when we moved houses two decades ago.  Cry

I also lost my Way of the Tiger books. Sigh.

Will keep you posted!

Wow! Duelmaster, Grailquest and Way of the Tiger too? Again, nice to hear that I was not the only one spending hours with Excalibur Junior (Go Pip! JH Brennan rules!), and the poetic fiend, while avoiding the dreaded 14!

I still have my books somewhere. I also played Fighting Fantasy 1 through to 20+. The world of Titan was basically my backyard before college.  Cheesy
