Victoria Cross II

On January 22, 1879 the British army suffered one of its greatest defeats and greatest victories during the Victorian era. The battle of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift were fought within 10 miles of each other, on the same day with vastly different results. At Isandlwana a Zulu army exceeding 20,000 warriors completely destroyed 1,700 British defenders at the base of the distinctive mountain bearing the battle's name. At Rorke's Drift, a small band of 100 British soldiers defended an outpost against 4,000 Zulu warriors. For this engagement, more Victoria Crosses were awarded for bravery than for any other single engagement in British military history. Victoria Cross II is a reprint of the original Victoria Cross game on the battle of Rorke's Drift with new graphics and counters instead of blocks. Isandlwana is a new battle that uses much of the game system from Victoria Cross with some additional rules unique to that battle.
This is a reprint of Victoria Cross with the battles of Nyezane, Isandlwana, Rorkes Drift, Hlobane Hill, and Kambula included.
The game that started it all for Worthington Games. Using the Victoria Cross system that was the first game produced by Worthington Games. Plus the long awaited Queen and Country using a mix of the Clash for a Continent / Hold the Line system with the Victoria Cross system for the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879.
Five battles, one great game! The game will include the original Victoria Cross updated with counters, updated rules, and new box. The addition of 4 new battles using a mix of the Victoria Cross / Clash for a Continent / Hold the Line system gives the game a unique system that recreates the tension as the British player tries to stem the hordes of Zulu warriors with his trusty Martini-Henry rifle (with a bit of guts behind it!). As the Zulu player can you, through mass and guile, drive the British from your land.
It is up to you to decide!

There's an old movie on this battle featuring the young Michael Caine.

At Isandlwana a Zulu army exceeding 20,000 warriors completely destroyed 1,700 British defenders at the base of the distinctive mountain bearing the battle's name.
Saw this featured on the History channel. Still with odds of 20,000 to 1,700, notwithstanding the fact the Brits had guns, it was basically send in the next wave. Though as I recall, the Zulus had some terrain advantage, I wonder whether said advantage was implemented in the board game.
