Its been almost a year since I posted about how we should be at GenCon and now, the best four days of gaming is happening again. How's everybody at achieving their GenCon dreams? Cheesy

Anyways, as the gods of boardgaming descend upon Indianapolis in August, there's alot of buzz already of what greats will be coming out of the woodwork. Jeremy Salinas (Drakkenstrike of Components Breakdown fame) put up a list of his must-buys already and I must say I am as equally excited with as he is with this years offerings. Personally, I'm looking forward to reactions on several items in my must buy list myself. I'll be on the lookout for feedback on several titles that has been brewing for a while now: Z-Man's Ares Project and Ninjato and GMT's Urban Sprawl. Want to see reactions to Rune Age and Blood Bowl from FFG, as well as Star Trek: Fleet Captains from Wiz Kids. There's so much more and I really cant wait to start reading the feedback.

Lets get the buzz starting here too. What are you guys looking forward to in this year's GenCon? Chime in!

Check out Drakkenstrike's video list below:

Oooh. So many juicy choices, I'm not even sure what's showing up in Gen Con so I'll base it from Drakk's list. I tried hard to limit it to 4 (or else I'd want all of them. What's the point? Haha)

Rune Age
I actually have the rules but I haven't gotten around to reading it. Apparently it's scenario driven and some people have already expressed concern on it's flexibility but I'm open. Will wait for the inevitable buzz before committing anything.

Blood Bowl: Team Manager
FFG continues to pique my interest but none have yet to beat the lofty perches Summoner Wars and Thunderstone have in my heart. This game has all the ingredients to be there though. Assymetrical factions. Fantasy theme married with sports. Again, I'm at a wait and see mode on this one.

Dungeon Run
The buzz Battleship Galaxies has received has only gotten me more excited in the game design abilities of wunderkind Colby Dauch. He's got a pulse on the kinds of games I like so the sophomore effort of his fledgling Plaid Hat Games is probably the only sure buy I have from this list.

Urban Sprawl
Finally, Chad Jensen gained a new fan the moment I played Dominant Species. Urban Sprawl was the game he really wanted to publish but GMT optioned to do DS instead. Now the buzz has given him more creative leeway in terms of what games to publish.

Sidenote:
Drakk just mentioned.. what? like 20 games there? He's probably buying that many for sure. Where the hell do these guys work and they're able to spend that much on games?? Geez.

I dunno. I was under the assumption he would actually purchase those games. He did say probables, and games he would try first. If ibibigay na yon. Walang point yung tiering system nya. Haha.
