Any of you gents still have your old DEAD CCGs lying around? I'm interested in purchasing sets of the following dead CCGs: Doomtown, Mythos, Battletech, Netrunner, Middle Earth, Wheel of Time, Shadowrun and Dune.

Dunno what gave me the urge to do this but I figure they'd provide a nice history lesson.

I have an opened booster box of Shadowrun (I also opened the booster packs, but then dumped the cards back into the box hehe).  Text me if you want it. 0927.307.4579.

I have a lot of cards from the old Heresy card game.  Nice concept, nice art, but really quite clunky (and barely original) mechanics.

I have Netrunner (2 sets and 4 boosters), but I'm not giving them up yet Tongue Maybe we can play instead? Been itching to try this one out for years.

Faust: Thanks. I'll send a text again. Need to poke around online a bit considering the resources at BGG are scarce.

Rolf: No thanks I'm not a fan of Warhammer. This little project/whim can actually be pretty expensive (a bunch of Doomtown starters already cost a pretty penny in ebay) so I'd rather acquire games with themes I'm fond of first.

John: That'd be great! I'm actually waiting for a Netrunner auction to end though its still a few days off.

Oh no it wasn't Warhammer.  It was some kind of high cyberpunk post-apoc setting where the gates to Heaven and Hell were opened and angels and demons were trapped on earth.  Quite fascinating in general, but there were spots of what-were-they-thinking silliness.

The system was about as different from Magic as....The Spoils Wink

Hey, I thought you've sold your Heresy cards off years ago?

I tried.  Couldn't come to an agreement with the prospective buyer.

I think I have a booster box of Middle Earth: the Dragons expansion. Or most of it, I guess - it seemed unplayable back then because I didn't have a starter or even a rulebook. PM me if you're interested. Smiley

I'd like a starter of Netrunner too, if anyone can spare one. One of my biggest regrets is passing up a sealed box of starters from Funtasia before they closed. I think it was just 700.  Cry

I have Netrunner as well-- kept a Runner and a Corp deck. Gave away the rest of the cards.

I have Legend of the Burning Sands lying around, if you are interested.

Anyone here remember Xxxenophile?

Gaebril: Can one at least build decks out of the boosters?

lordshoju: No thanks, as said, I'd rather acquire those on my thematic list first.

Hm, probably not! It's probably missing a basic land analogue somewhere there.

Let me get back to you on that Gaebril. Gotta see what I can find online with regard to Middle Earth first.

I have a large collection of Middle Earth: The Wizards, majority from the limited (black border) edition and a few of the unlimited (blue border).

I have 5 starter decks, and luckily each one had a different set of fixed cards (so I have all 5 wizards and all members of the Fellowship). Also, I have the rarest card of all, The One Ring, and 4 or 5 of the Nazgul. I also have a sizable number of The Dragons expansion. So my collection should allow you to build several decks. I also had the expanded version of the rulebook but may have lost it already.

Let me know if you're interested. I'll have to research the pricing but my guess is my collection is pretty valuable.

I remember a quote from a friend named Randell in NG:  "Price?  Aren't we talking about a DEAD card game?" Grin
