Finally began the task of going through stuff to prepare for moving, and went up to the attic to sort through boxes untouched for years. Lots of junk, old Reader's Digests back to the 1960s. Found old games too, an old Game of the Generals board, a squished copy of TSR's Knights of Camelot (outer box crushed, oh well Tongue)

And then I found this:

"Cool," I thought, "I didnt know I had an Avalon Hill Titan lying around. Wonder if its still playable?"

Then I opened the box.

The dang thing is unpunched.

Do I punch the dang things out to play it or buy a reissue Titan just to play the game?

Careful with that...IIRC, the ink on that version is water soluble Sad

edit: sorry, my mistake - it seems that it's the older version that came with water soluble ink.  One spilled drink and it's bye bye, tokens....
but this one (the Avalon Hill version) I think doesn't have that problem.

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Haha! Will keep it away from all liquids anyhow. Smiley

The packrat in me is debating with the gamer within. The game isnt as valuable now because of the reissue... but the unpunched sheets just look soooo nice. Waha.

For me the AH version is nicer to play with than the newer version.

Appreciate the input Mark! Punch 1, buy new 0.

I should have asked for more stuff from my aunt. At least this hand-me-down ended up intact. Cant say the same for some of the other stuff I found (the squished Knights of Camelot, a Legend of Heroes with majority of parts missing, an AD&D Oriental Adventures book that apparently got peed on by a dog  Cry )

Good job, let's take your Titan for a romp, and maybe some Warlock of Firetop Mountain too!?  Grin

Sure! Will bring them and find time to drop by RR again in October. More free from work then. Cheesy
