anyone here actually have a copy of a board game called Action All Pro Football?  It's an American football board game.  My wife found me a copy for really cheap, but the rules weren't there.

Anyhoo, if anyone has a copy, would it be possible shoot me off a scanned copy of the rules?  I've checked with BGG as well and the game is apparently owned by like 8 people, all of whom can't find their copy of the game at the moment.

Cheers,
Zhen

Well, I got the rules for the Action All Pro Football game, and it's not a bad  game.  Heavily luck driven, but overall, not bad.

But that got me to thinking.  Would anyone care to actually playing a game of Football?  Since there wouldn't be any protective gear, I'm thinking a game of flag football, where instead of tackling, you grab and pull off a player's flag.

Anyone up for some exercise? Smiley

Cheers,
Zhen

Exercise?

Oh you mean that thing where you get off your butt and start sweating... Wink

I never learned how the thing is played, but there's a kickoff portion right?

Rolf, yeah, that's what exercise is.  As for the kickoff, depends on how many players and the space available.  Some flag football rules omit the kicking part of the game.  Say a 4 on 4 game would leave off the kicking part and usually ends up being a faster and higher scoring game than say an 8 on 8 player.  Rules are generally pretty simple.  But I don't see a football game happening, simply because the sport is only popular in the US and doesn't even come near to competing against European football. *sigh*  I see there is a flag football league here in the Phils, though.  Maybe I can catch one of their games one of these days.

Yeah the words butt and sweating should never be in such close proximity!  Roll Eyes

Well, John, that makes you and I...6 more people and we could have 2 four player teams.  I suppose, if we had a total of 6 people, 2 three player teams could work.

The next issue, is finding a decent field or park to play in.  Any ideas there?

cheers,
Zhen

Thanks SCUGrad, I'd seen their website before, but I missed their season 2 games.  I'm hoping I can get to see them play sometime.

I know there is a flag football league too, but I can't seem to find much information on them, as their website comes up blank.  Maybe they went under.  Who knows.  I did find a youtube video of them playing.

I wasn't thinking of starting a league or anything.  Just a once in a while game among friends.

Cheers,
Zhen

Hi,

I play flag football since 2007 there was PFFL back then but now the new league is called B-League. The current league season just ended (league games are at Circulo Verde) but there are preparations for the coming Christmas Bowl.

You can check my team's page on facebook. My team's name is TSG stand for Team Sunburn Garden (our home court is the UP sunken garden). We play at UP every weekend during Sundays in afternoon around 3pm onwards. Message me in facebook if you guys are interested in the game my team mates and I are more than willing to teach.

You can message me in facebook or post on the team page. Oh and by the way you need female players too if you are to form a team, it's a co-ed team and league. Minimum of two females should always be on the field.

Mansky:  Thanks for the heads up!

Earl: rugby..ouch..  That's a rough sport!  I'm not sure of the rules on rugby, how different is it from American football and soccer?

Karlo:  thanks for the info!  I'll check out the facebook page. I'd love to see your guys' Christmas bowl!  Any dates set up or is that on the facebook page as well? As for getting players together, I was just thinking of having a pick-up game instead of a structured league kind of thing.  Just a bunch of us goofing off. ha ha!

cheers,
Zhen
