Anyone want to try an online board game?  So far, I've made Honor of the Samurai, Zombies and GI Joe TCG.

The virtual table is called Taebl (http://taebl.com/), and runs using Silverlight.  It's a pretty clever little virtual table.

Cheers,
Zhen

And here's the Zombies game I made.  I still need to go through and add the card and tile backs.

The Joe game was such an under appreciated game, even by WoTC, who produced it.  Most people when they first start learning the game think that it's too simple and too luck based, and therefore hated it.

The real strategy in the game is putting your deck together.  When you put your deck together, you have to think of the odds that 1) you'll get a card you want in your ranks during set up 2) the odds that a card with good bonuses will turn up in play in both one on one fights and during the firefight phase.  And then there is the whole, do the cards work well together during play.

Cards quickly get discarded during play, so the other areas you have to think about are which of your opponent's cards to go after first to reduce the most damage to yourself.

On the surface, it looks like a simple flip a card and who ever has the best result wins, but deeper down, its all about the deck and how you put it together.  Probably more so than any other TCG I've ever played.

It's been one of my faves for a long time, and I've got both the sets before WoTC dropped it.  It just never had the support it deserved, in my opinion.

Cheers,
Zhen

Vassal is quite nice.  I just didn't have very good luck making modules for it.  I find that Taebl was easier for me to use.  But that doesn't mean that it's better.  Vassal is a great way to play games.  If you are going to do up some Vassal modules, let me know. Smiley
