Thanks Rolf,
Yeah just been searching from the net and then bingo!! found this site.. hehehe the gameplay mechanics looks good and I guess the price is more reasonable compared to the former miniature game I played (World of Warcraft miniatures).

Looking forward to watch live tourneys soon and looking for sellers too..

Jay at Hobbymania is selling a bundle of Heroscape figures - here is his buy/sell thread: http://www.tabletopwars.com/bb/index.php/topic,4240.0.html

Sadly we haven't had any tourneys since TabletopWars' anniversary 2 years ago Wink but if someone would like to organize one, I'd love to join Smiley

Hi All,

My name is Gyles.  Some neutral grounds mainstay people may know me by face or by name.  I've been playing gateway board games for a while now including Dominion, Dominion:Intrigue and Lord of the Rings Confrontation.  I also played TCGs like WOW and M:tG. I'm looking for a group to play Puerto Rico with.  Glad to find this website.

I played Puerto Rico once...and came in last.  hehehe you might try visiting HobbyMania sometime (across the street from DLSU Taft's football field) - I'm fairly sure I saw a copy of PR there...

Thanks!  I'm a graduate of DLSU-M but I don't remember HobbyMania from that time ago. Cheesy  Unfortunately, Taft's too far for me now.  I'm looking for hobby shops near Pasig/Ortigas area.

*lol* another northerner Smiley oh well...you shouldn't have a hard time - Pasig/Ortigas seems to be a central area for a lot of our members.  Good luck Smiley

the usual coffee shop can be turned into a gaming place Smiley Just the other day a friend and I played Thunderstone over at Krispy Kreme Gale (they have a nice larger-than-usual coffee table that was perfect. Willing to game if the schedule allows. I work in the area along with a few TW members and I've played PR as well so if you own a copy then I'd be happy to join you if I can.

Hello Gamers!

While I was searching for retailers in Pacific/Asia region in Web; I found your website and registered immediately!

I am living with my life in Colombo/Sri Lanka since 2 weeks and as board-/wargamer am I looking for new sources in this part of the world.

After searching and searching, surfing and surfing find your website and it's one of the best's, I saw during my search!

I am 45 years old; born in Istanbul/Turkey, lived till 1994 there and then relocated to Germany! I lived between 1994 - 2008 in Munich and became boardgamer as you all know, that Germany is famous with their boardgames!

My favourites are board-/wargames with historical background!

My first one was "Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage" ( is still one of my favourites!).

Because of my origin I am interested in the games about turkish history and additionally about ancients, because of my interest in history and job as guide in Turkey!

I think that's the right place for gamers and after my experiences in Germany I can definitely say you should be proud of your community!

Best regards

Welcome to the site and glad to see another board-wargamer!  I believe you have also registered in the Philboardgamers facebook page.  Philboardgamers is probably the only organized and dedicated board-wargame "club" in the Philippines that holds a monthly meet.  Philboardgamers and Tabletopwars are connected such that members of the club and this site participate in each other's forums by posting discussions and game event announcements.  We also know each other and game together occasionally.

Turkey has a long and colorful history indeed and a subject of many wargames - from the time of Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, the Crusades, the Ottoman Empire and through modern times.  The Philippines has a number of wargames based on it but mostly on WW2.

I hope you can drop by our country if you're free and lets have a couple of gaming sessions!
